Chameleon

Not quite sure what to call the last couple of days? Was it an adventure? Aimless Wanderings? All i know is it was about the most peaceful 48 hours ive had in a while 😇 Setting off Wednesday evening and heading south, ending up in High Weald National landscape and one of its many woodland areas to spend the night near Blackland wood. Seeing as it was dark when I arrived i didnt know what was aound, till I woke up to what sounded like every type of bird in the world telling me it was time to get up 😂 from here it was over to the next bit of woodland just a few miles away.....Brede high woods, and what a surprise I was in for! 🌲 Brede High Woods is the woodlandtrust largest ancient woodland! At 247 acres theres plenty of room to explore and it's well worth the time! Possibly the most tranquil piece of woodland ive ever been to ( and I've been to more than I can remember)! From ancient parts of the woodland, to medieval tree lined banks, to streams meandering through the trees to the reservoir, it literally has it all! And from the noise.....an abundance of healthy wildlife! As it was that kind of day, a quick stop at the pub for a pint🍺then off to Camber sands, which was my 1st wild camp, nestled in the dunes many many years ago! It always brings good memories and this time was no different! From there it was drive into the sunset, torege_official providing the shades needed! Absolutely getting sidetracked as i passed what I thought was a cool Monument at the side of the road, performed a quick u turn as my curiosity got the better of me and I'm glad it did as I was left speechless to say the least, turns out id found the most beautiful, surreal Polish ww2 Monument dedicated to the crew of a ww2 bomber that sadly never made it home 😪 Leaving there, again totally winged I ended up at Tullecombe forest, which is run by the forestry commission. Again a fine patch of forest and so very quite of a night! It also has a mountain bike centre for those that dont fancy a walk 😂🥾 Then finally, time to head to the daughters, grab her and carry on the weekend back in Essex. #hikingadventures #outandabout #getoutside #forest #peaceful #wanderingwild #explore
